How Can I Help?

WHY LATVIA?

For 50 years (1941-1991), the Lutheran Church in Latvia was severely restricted under Soviet rule. Today, however, Latvia is an independent country, and there is a solid community of Lutherans. There are 300 Lutheran congregations and 115 pastors.

Latvia has a strong desire to grow spiritually, but limited resources to accomplish the task. We believe the Lord has given us this partnership with Latvia as an outreach opportunity – and to help us develop our own spiritual growth by focusing beyond our own congregation.
